Miranda never makes the attempt to have Daniel meet Mrs. Doubtfire. As the mother of his children she never makes an attempt to ask Daniel (Their father) for approval on hiring Mrs. Doubtfire. She DOES ask for his approval to see if it is ok to have an nanny watch them. But when she finds Mrs. Doubtfire she never asks if Daniel feels she is an appropriate choice.
It is out of character for Miranda not to ask Daniel to also interview Mrs. Doubtfire. But yet she did ask for his approval on hiring a nanny.
