Whether you are new to art or a frequent visitor, enjoy programs that respond to museum spaces and artworks, inspire you to look closely, and involve you in the conversation about art’s relationship to history and our own time.
Accessibility
Through public programs, we seek to foster positive experiences for all visitors.
To request an accessibility accommodation for an Art Institute public program, please send an email to access@artic.edu as far in advance as possible. Sign language interpretation, assisted listening devices, and closed captioning are often made available.
American Sign Language Tours
Join monthly interactive public tours of works in the collection presented in American Sign Language. Intended primarily for members of the deaf community, these tours are open to all visitors, though voice interpretation is not typically provided.
Audio Description Tour
Download the Art Institute Mobile App or pick up an audio guide once you arrive. The Audio Description Tour is designed for people who are blind or partially sighted.
Tours with Sighted Guides
Take advantage of this complimentary service for individuals with blindness or low vision and enjoy lively conversations about works of art accompanied by verbal descriptions and tactile experiences.
